Notes
- Plans cover follow-up consultations only. Prescriptions, medications, procedures, and investigations are charged separately where applicable.
- Plans are linked to one primary condition or episode of care, and are non-transferable.
- If a histology results consultation is included within a procedure package, that consultation remains included within the procedure package and does not count towards a follow-up plan.
- Unused consultations expire at the end of the validity period.
Frequently asked questions:
How often are follow-ups arranged?
For oral isotretinoin, follow-ups take place monthly.
How many follow-ups will I need?
The 5-review plan is designed for a typical 4-month course of oral isotretinoin, and the 7-review package is designed for a typical 6-month course.
Why can course length vary between patients?
The duration of oral isotretinoin is individualised based on your clinical response. The aim is to achieve clearance and then continue for a further month, as this approach is associated with a lower risk of future recurrence.
What if I choose the 5-review plan but I need longer treatment?
If a longer course is needed, we can advise whether it is best to add individual follow-ups or move to the 7-review package.
Can follow-ups be by telephone instead of face-to-face?
Yes. Follow-ups may be by telephone or face-to-face, depending on what is clinically appropriate and what suits you.
