As GP to Peebles Rugby Club, I was pleased to be on duty at Peebles Sevens at the weekend.
Despite extremely wet conditions, a good crowd turned out to watch the thrilling rugby that was on display at the Gytes. Unfortunately, Peebles did not come out on top at this year’s tournament, but supporters were treated to an exciting all Borders final with Kelso and Hawick taking each other on. Well done to Kelso who scored with the last play of the game to take the win.
As a local Doctor who lives and works in Peebles, the local community is incredibly important to me and I am keen to contribute in any way that I can. So, when I was given the invitation to be GP to Peebles Rugby Club, I was naturally delighted to accept and you will find me on duty at the Gytes at home games every other Saturday.
Having passed my Scottish Rugby Level 3 SCRUMCAPS course, I now also provide medical care for the SRU at SRU professional matches and training too.
Peebles Rugby Club were established in 1922, with the Club proudly celebrating over a century of thrilling rugby in the town. Whilst the players in red and white provide the skill and action on the field, I am honoured to support the team in my role as GP for Peebles Rugby Club.
